Journal/blog:  Due Friday Dec 13 - may be handed in electronically (email via First Class) up until midnight and still be on time, by 3:30 pm if handing in papers.  If late, student must complete "late assignment form" available in classroom. We are in the 13th week of this assignment.  If you don't already have all 10 entries done, get caught up.  See your handout or blog post FIF 1D journal/blog or FSF 3U journal/blogfor further details and topic ideas.

  • Forum national des jeunes ambassadeurs:  Opportunity for leadership training in promoting bilingualism Aug 7 - 12, 2014 in Sudbury, Ontario.  National forum for young ambassadors - apply in February but think about it now.
  • Lesson & activity on linguistics & pronunciation with Mlle Sarah.  
  • speaking activity: le Coin-coin  le coin-coin - instructions & video
  • le futur simple: handout - complete for Thurs. Dec 12 or so.  Answers posted on back board in classroom and at le futur simple - les réponses
  • le futur antérieur: 
    • speaking/writing activity in small groups:  different activities that you will have done by Dec. 25.  Made sentences & presented to whole group.  Bien fait!  Posters now on board in classroom.
  • Le Bossu de Notre-Dame:
    • Another very useful site for dictionary use, especially for expressions, is Linguee & try exploring the links at Government of Canada Language Portal
    • follow handout of themes & possible questions/subjects for written project (parameters: 2 pgs. double-spaced, show understanding of book & connection to self or our society) - work on ideas & good copy due before winter break.
    • will also be doing an oral assessment 
    • Essay writing contest: French for the Future - French essay writing contest   Students may choose to do this essay instead of the Bossu de Notre-Dame composition if they wish.  Must speak to Ms.K-J to discuss due dates and format if choosing this option.
