      • Thursday, received a copy of the exam - just one task, a comparative essay. Thursday, Friday and Monday, students are preparing in class for this.
      • Steps to prepare:
        • Read the essay question. 
        • Read the poem and listen to the song Dire Straits: Romeo & Juliet
        • Analyze the poem. Discuss with a small group or partner. Write notes. 
        • Make connections to Romeo & Juliet.
        • Review handouts and notes in your binder for Comparative Essay from October.
        • Brainstorm. mind-map for the exam question. 
        • Make your own outline. It may be very similar to another student, but each needs to have their own notes. Follow guidelines on the exam handout. This step is due Monday January 25 at the beginning of class.
        • Today, we will review your notes together and then will prepare the outline that you will use on the exam. You will be submitting that on Monday. The teacher will be reading them and will give them to you to use on Tuesday for the exam.
        • Choose the quotations that you will use in your essay. Note them with the Act and Scene. Write them in full on your outline paper. 
    • Homework:
      • Culminating presentation. Submit reflection and Notes from each presentation on Monday if not already in .Assignment sheet link
