Site of the day: Learn Québec French
learning goal: We are connecting the strands of our course.
    • Exam is Tues. January 26 at 10 am - 12 in room 316
    • Culminating Activity: Talked about clothing choices for presentation. Not evaluated, but choose clothing carefully for a professional, polished appearance. This will add to your presentation and increase your confidence. 
      • Time to work. Follow assignment requirements, format, timelines and assessment. Assignment sheet link  Presentation schedule We will be in the library tomorrow and Friday. Plan to have your presentation mostly complete for Monday Jan. 11 to give time to rehearse before your presentation.
    • Homework:
      • Work on culminating presentation. Presentations begin January 11.
      • Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.

    • Exams: speaking Wed. Jan. 13 in class  (see handout already given)
      • listening Tues. Jan. 19 in class
      • reading & writing Wed. Jan. 27 at 10 am - 12 in room 316
    • écoute: DELF A2 activities - handout
    • les examens: Oral (speaking) exam is le mercredi 13 janvier and will be done in class using iPads. Time to work on planning. Follow the success criteria, format and assessment on the handout. 
      • If done, use time in class to read magazines, review grammar or vocabulary, Duolingo or play cards in small groups speaking only French. 
    • les devoirs: Should be spending 15 - 20 minutes daily on French home study Monday through Thursday. If all class work is completed, follow suggestions in:  Home Study extras - try 6 Must-know sites for Valuable French Grammar Lessons
        • Prepare for oral exam (see above)
        • Optional re-test le passé composé et l'imparfait until Fri. Jan. 8. See Re-test post for procedures.
        • Notre-Dame de Paris - comparison was due Fri. Dec. 11. 
        • Blog was due Friday December 11. Complete ASAP if not already done.
