Site of the day: Jobs that require French
ENG 2D
learning goal: We are connecting the strands of our course.
    • Exam is Tues. January 26 at 10 am - 12 in room 316
    • Culminating Activity: Presentations by Will and Jack on Racism, Ben and Evan on Emojis.
      • Each student completes notes based on the template on the Assignment sheet for each presentation. Collect them to submit after all presentations are done. This will be assessed. 
      • Follow assignment requirements, format, timelines and assessment. Assignment sheet link  Presentation schedule  - helpful for practicing: oral presentation feedback checklist 
      • Small handout (1/2 page summary) must be submitted the day before your presentation to allow time for photocopying, or just put it in Google Drive and share the link.
      • Personal reflection due 2 - 3 days after your presentation. See assignment sheet for details - basically - 1 page typed double-spaced, what did you learn that enhanced your understanding of this course & analyze your performance.
    • Homework:
      • culminating presentation. Presentations began January 11.
      • Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.

      • listening Tues. Jan. 19 in class
      • reading & writing Wed. Jan. 27 at 10 am - 12 in room 316
    • When done, use iPad for general French review and development i.e. Duolingo, 6 Must-know sites for Valuable French Grammar Lessons, find listening practice activities, etc.
    • le pronom d'objet indirect -  Finish the handout package for today - Wed. Jan. 13.
    • les devoirs: Should be spending 15 - 20 minutes daily on French home study Monday through Thursday. If all class work is completed, follow suggestions in:

      • writing pg.61 Ex.L J'écris - La routine quotidienne - 5 - 8 sentences about the daily routine of a family member. Use handout for rough work, then write and submit good copy on other paper or through Google Drive. Level 4 work will have 8 sentences and will add details. Use model sentences in other handouts to help compose great sentences.
