FSF 1P
le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): increasing vocabulary in French.


  • Handout : reading assessment : Aventure en Afrique. Students must do this assessment on their own, with no dictionaries or WiFi help.
  • Handout package : puzzles and worksheets. Students can work on their own or with a partner to complete these papers as best possible. They can use dictionaries and on-line web resources on their smartphones or iPods as long as they are using them for work, not for texting or irrelevant surfing. They do not need to finish all of the package, but must be working diligently. They should also spend about 15 – 20 minutes working on the package for homework (unless they finish it all in class).
  • les devoirs:
    • Spend 15 – 20 minutes working on the handout puzzle package if not completed in class, but don’t need to finish all of it. I will be checking yourwork tomorrow to see what you finished.
    • get your binder organized with dividers.
    • Get signature on course outline if not already done.
FIF 2D
le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Comment faire un résumé d’une histoire.
  • Handout : So you think you have problems Ex. A & B. Students may work together or on their own for this and can check/correct their work using the answer keys posted at the back of the room. They may choose to complete this for homework instead of in class.
  • Roch Carrier : Students choose one more of the 4 stories in the package distributed on Monday. Read on own or in small groups (no more than 4 in a group). Highlight words that must be looked up in the dictionary then read the story. With a different colour, highlight important sentences. Fill in the handout as completely as possible to hand in tomorrow or Monday. Each student must hand in their own handout, even if they worked on it together.
  • les devoirs:
    • Work on the Roch Carrier story and handout for about 30 min.  Handout is due tomorrow or Monday.
    • Finish the "So you think you have problems" handout if not done in class.
    • get your binder organized with dividers.
    • Get signature on course outline if not already done.

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): learning about different types of jobs.
  • DVD & handout: Dirty Jobs. Watch 2 shows and then complete the handout.  Hand this in at the end of class with full name and the date on it.
  • les devoirs:
    • Work on portfolio or resumé for 20 - 30 min.
    • project: "La musique dans ma vie"(written) OR "La mesur du succes"(oral or written presentation). Last day to hand in is Fri Sept 21 (tomorrow).
