FIF 1D

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment mieux lire.

• Notre-Dame de Paris : 
• chapter 8 - checked and discussed/corrected questions ex.1-2.
• handed in Facebook project - if done.   Good copy due today, Fri Oct 18 - typed, handwritten, or electronic & emailed to teacher.  Can hand in on Mon Oct 21at the beginning of class, not late, but means you have homework on weekend. 
• discussion: characters - good? bad? both?, class system, differences in lives of Middle Ages & modern times
• watched musical Notre-Dame de Paris
• Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine unless there is work not completed this week or if you need to write a journal/blog entry, to finish Facebook project, re-read any of Notre-Dame de Paris that haven't done yet, catch up on questions, organize binder, or watch a DVD in French (no subtitles).

• Went to basketball game to watch Heather and our Westdale team.
• Le Bossu de Notre-Dame:
• re-reading ch. 1-18 & questions A - D - oral
• do summary (in French!).  Include:
• les personnages principaux
• la scene (quand & où)
• l'action (à peu près 5 phrases)
• vocabulaire importante - entre 5 à 10 mots (see question C for ideas)
• Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine unless there is work not completed this week or if you need to write a journal/blog entry, re-read any of Bossu de Notre-Dame that haven't done yet, catch up on questions/chapter resumés, organize binder, or watch a DVD in French (no subtitles).
