Site of the day:  Weird strange French words
FSF 1D  
le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous faisons des introductions.
  • continued intoduction to new book "Tu parles!"
    • looked at front matter
    • read livre pgs. 2 - 3 and listened to audio tracks
    • read livre pg.4, cahier pg.2, + audio track
    • read livre pg.5, cahier pg. 3 + audio track
  • DVD: Les Vacances de M.Bean
  • Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine unless have not finished some work from this week.  Students are encouraged to watch a DVD, watch some French TV, listen to French music, speak to friends in French, read French newspapers or magazines (internet or print) or do something French during the long weekend.  Suggestions: 
    • Duolingo or suggestions in this post: Home Study extras
    • Must complete oral assessment recording "Mon introduction" and email the link to Ms.K-J if not completed in class. 
    • Organize your binder with 4 dividers. See course outline for labels for sections.  May wish to add another section "les chansons".  Use cell phone agenda or buy a paper agenda to help you stay organized for your classes.

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous révisons les verbes au présent.
  • lesson & examples - les verbes au présent - réguliers, réfléchis, irréguliers - Showed patterns, tricks and tips to help learn the verbes. See photos below.
    • handouts - tableau - given yesterday & review package - exercises and puzzles - Due le vendredi 20 février.  Answer keys will be posted in the classroom and on this blog.  Students will check own work or the work of a classmate after finishing each page - just checking, not correcting.  Students will correct their own work and note which verbs they will need to practice more before the test.
    • Students are encouraged to review some verbs every day and to access quizzes and games on the internet to help with learning these verbs.
