learning goal: We are reading Shakespeare and identifying useful strategies to read better.
  • Shakespeare and Twelfth Night 
    • Read article - 60 second Star - I'm a Lady.
    • Character Traits - in small groups, complete 4 brainstorming sheets (Olivia, Viola, Malvolio & Orsino. Submit to teacher. We will be using these for assignment later.
    • Work on Act V - finish reading in small groups. Complete journal. 
    • Puzzle & review "quiz" (handout)
    • Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare - FULL Audio Book (Or, What You Will)
    • No fear Shakespeare - a post-reading resource to compare original and modern texts

  • Homework: Get in the habit of doing 20 - 30 minutes of English homework every night Monday to Thursday. Review lessons, extend your knowledge or read.
    • Finish journal for Twelfth Night Act IV & V. Due Wed May 18.
    • Independent reading. Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your classwork early. Read regularly at home.
