le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment demander et donner les directions.

    • blogue/journal - due today by midnight (or will need to complete Late Explanation note). Submit checklist & rubric to teacher.
    • assessment - les directions à Westdale S.S.
    • planning for the rest of the school year - what do you still want to learn? Think over the weekend, and on Tuesday, we will discuss.
    • film: La vie en Rose
    • Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine as long as all caught up. Students may wish to do some review or practice - see: Home Study extras osuggestions below.
      • article presentations - read and summarize - point form. More students will present next week.
      • FSF2D Journal/blog   Blog is due Fri. May 20. Submit checklist.
    ENG 1D
    learning goal: We are analysing characters and comparing film and book versions of a story.
      • film: Speak. Watching to review story before guest speaker Tuesday May 24 and will be writing a small reflection (due Wed. May 25 - submitted on paper or in Dropbox) to compare book and film. Include an introduction (title, year released, "based on the book Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson"), give it a rating (choose your own system) and address these 2 questions: 
        • Did you like the film? Why or why not?
        • Did you prefer the book or the film? Why?
      • Shakespeare and Twelfth Night 
      • No homework if all caught up for the work this week. Some suggestions if you wish to do some work:
        • Character Sketch for Twelfth Night due Fri. May 27.
        • Independent reading. Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your classwork early. Read regularly at home.
      FSF 1D

      • blogue/journal - due today by midnight (or will need to complete Late Explanation note). Submit checklist & rubric to teacher.
      • Groups of 2 - 3 students to create dialogues - invite someone to do something on the weekend, they refuse, giving reason why, negotiations for alternative, accept. Use Tu parles!1 Student Book pgs 32-33, cahier pg.49 and agenda handout to help. Presentations for assessment tomorrow in class.
        • Auto-évaluation pour les conversations.
      • DVD: l'Homme au masque de fer
