Le site du jour: How to practice listening in French

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous parlons de la famille.
  • la chanson de lundi: C'est l'Halloween - Matt Maxwell & Babelzone - La chanson des squelettes
  • Kahoot! L'Halloween
  • la famille: Use resources from the HUB module "vocabulaire et expressions" submodule "la famille" 
    • la conversation: live or using TouchCast Studio green screen app from the HWDSB catalogue. May use a cue card or note in Notability for questions (not answers). Each group will speak for 3 - 5 minutes. 
    • le paragraph: article  of 8 - 10 sentences, including introduction and conclusion. 
    • les devoirs: Should be spending 15 - 20 minutes daily on French home study Monday through Thursday. If all class work is completed, follow suggestions in Home Study extras
      • Listen to French music.
      • Make notes and practice for la famille interview and work on article.

    • la chanson de lundi: C'est l'Halloween - Matt Maxwell & Babelzone - La chanson des squelettes
    • Kahoot! L'Halloween
    • les souvenirs d'enfance  
      • l'imparfait vs. le passé composé - leçon (continuée - les actions interrompues - discussion, notes, examples - creative sentences with illustrations - corrections - paper or iPad. On fait des exemples de l'Halloween passé. Share sentences in our  Google Doc: l'Halloween au passé
        • Look for further resources and practice activities in the HUB module "la grammaire" submodule "le passé"
      • Choose one or 2 memories of your childhood or a specific age - use brainstorm ideas (en français) to make outline for blog article (10 - 12 sentences) - pay attention to the verbes - description? action - limitée? ou répétée? interrompue?
      • la conversation - avec votre groupe - Try to incorporate filler words and phrases. 
    • les devoirs: Should be spending 20 - 30 minutes daily on French home study Monday through Thursday. If all class work is completed, follow suggestions in Home Study extras
      • Listen to French music
      • les souvenirs d'enfance - conversation, blog article, imparfait vs. passé composé
