le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment parler de la nourriture.
  • Discussed Take our Kids to Work Day - Wed. Nov 7.  Most students were at a workplace with family or friends yesterday.
  • Worked on posters: La nourriture. - dû le vendredi 9 nov. (20 - 30 different foods, labelled in French with "le, la, l' or les" and (m) or (f), 3 sentences with at least 3 foods in each:
    • J'aime ________, _________ et ___________.
    • Je n'aime pas________, _________ et ___________.
    • Je n'ai pas encore essayé ________, _________ et ___________.
  • Opportunity to re-record restaurant dialogue (Student book pgs. 14 - 15).
  • les devoirs: poster - la nourriture - dû le vendredi 9 nov.

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment parler et écrire une histoire d'un événement au passé.
  • story "un événement du passé"  Make improvments and corrections and write "la bonne copie" which is due tomorrow, Fri Nov 9. See posters on back wall or post labelled "les parties d'une composition" for format for submission.
    • Remember we are using: le processus d'écrire - see post Nov 5, Nov. 2 and also labelled post "the writing process/le processus d'écrire".
  • Cyrano de Bergerac:  Finished notes from "jig-saw" groupings yesterday to discuss Acte I, scènes 5 à 7.
    • Divided into 8 groups - 2 groups per act - to divide roles and start practising to read aloud to class.  Later, we will be adding other tasks.  Reading presentations will start next week.
  • les devoirs: Finish notes for Cyrano Acte I, scènes 5 à 7.
    • "un événement du passé" la bonne copie is due Fri Nov 9

  • Handed in paper from yesterday "Déclarations - les carrières".  If not done, it is late but still must be completed for tomorrow.
  • did activity "Soyez respectueux - comment le montrer" to set the norms of our class.
  • les devoirs: Think about the things you do to show respect, and think about your goals for this course. 
    • Finish Student information sheet (if not already done).
    • Get course outline signed.
