FSF 1D  
le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment décrire les personnes et les choses.
  • Tomorrow, we are working in computer lab 210.
  • Period 1 only: Watched Jacques Brel: Ne me quitte pas & Sting: Ne me quitte pas as a listening activity - handout & filled in missing words.  Also discussed briefly differences in the appearances of celebrities of present day & past i.e. creating "artificial perfection" with make-up, AutoTune, stylists, PhotoShop etc.  Students are encouraged to watch again, and maybe to sing quietly along with the video to practice pronunciation and to increase oral comprehension.
  • Period 3: watched a couple of Olympic athlete videos
  • Journal/blog: introduced assignment handout.  Due May 16, 2014. Special blog entry FSF 1D journal/blog will be updated weekly.
  • les adjectifs: lesson, discussion, SmartBoard, examples, practice.  Note (chart) and practice papers to be completed (checked & corrected from les adjectifs: les clefs de réponses) for Fri. Feb 21.  Test next week.
  • project: Qui suis-je?   
    • les devoirs:
      • Work on Qui suis-je. 
        • la bonne copie (good copy) dû le 19 fév.

      • organize binder with dividers and get signature on course outline if not already done.

    • Tomorrow, we are working in computer lab 210.
    • Watched video Red Bull Crashed Ice Québec.
    • Journal/blog: introduced assignment handout.  Due May 16, 2014. Special blog entry FIF 1D journal/blog will be updated weekly.
    • les verbes au présent: 
      • verb chart - fill in.  Answer keys  posted at back of room & les verbes au présent: les clefs de réponses.
      • handout note: les changements d'orthographe
      • handout package to review irregular verbs in present tense.  Due Tues Feb 25 - checked and corrected from answer keys.  
      • Test Wed Feb 26.
    • assignment "Moi-même": diagnostic/formative written composition.  See handout for details.  
      • le brouillon (draft) due Thurs Feb 13.  Students should use computer at home or during lunch or after school in our library to edit & correct i.e. spellcheck of Word, BonPatron WordReference on-line dictionary Linguee on-line dictionary
      • la bonne copie dû le 19 février.  Working in the computer lab, so due at end of class.  Expectations for submission - all work will be submitted, not just good copy.  See blog post Les parties d'une composition or posters on wall of classroom for details.
