le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment décrire les personnes et les choses.
  • There’s lots of work for the students, so should be busy for the class.  I will be checking in with the work on Monday.  Most work is due Tues, so don’t need to work on the weekend. If work hard, they should be able to complete a lot today.
    • handout: gender of nouns on one side, les adjectifs on the other side
    • handout: 2 puzzles
    • Note (chart) and practice papers from earlier this week to be completed (checked & corrected from les adjectifs: les clefs de réponses) for Tues. Feb 25.  Test next week.
    • Complete all as best possible for Tues Feb 25.
  • DVD: Le Bossu de Notre-Dame

        • Qui suis-je if not already done.  La bonne copie (good copy) dû le 19 fév.
        • les adjectifs: note & practice activities due le 25 fév. 
        • Journal/blog: follow handout.  Due May 16, 2014. Special blog entry FSF 1D journal/blog will be updated weekly.
        • organize binder with dividers and get signature on course outline if not already done.

        ·    Handout: "So you think you have problems".  This has a lesson/explanation of the language problem, then an activity to learn it.  The idea is for students to increase vocabulary and accuracy in their own French.  There are 2 activities – the paper is 2-sided.  Answer keys are posted at the back of the classroom and in photos below.  It needs to be finished for Tues. Feb. 25.
         ·         Continue work on handout package to review verbs in present tense – completed, checked and corrected.  This will be due Tues Feb 25.  There will be a test on Thurs. Feb. 27 (originally scheduled for Feb 26).verb chart - fill in & handout package.  Answer keys  posted at back of room & les verbes au présent: les clefs de réponses ·         handout – crossword puzzle Canadiens celebres.  Finish for Tues Feb 25.  May work together.  Don’t worry if don’t find all of them.  
      • assignment "Moi-même": diagnostic/formative written composition.  See handout for details.  
        • Hand in asap if not already submitted. 
        • Expectations for submission - all work will be submitted, not just good copy.  See blog post Les parties d'une composition or posters on wall of classroom for details.
      • DVD: Heure Limite 3
        • Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine as long as you are caught up and that you used your time well in class today.
          • Moi-même -la bonne copie (and all parts) - dû le 19 février.
