le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment remplir une formulaire.
  • Watched video: Avez-vous déjà vu une girafe avec un collier?   and discussed briefly.
  • Learned how to read and complete a registration/subscription form in French - lesson, note, examples, practice.
  • Practiced directions with partner using map les devoirs:

    • Find registration forms (in French if possible).  Finish filling in the paper from class if not completed in class time.  Assessment in class tomorrow.
    • Practise giving and asking for directions. Oral assessment tomorrow.

  • Watched videoAvez-vous déjà vu une girafe avec un collier? and recounted story in groups using le passé.
  • game: "Qui suis-je?" using sentences in le passé composé & l'imparfait.
  • Practice tests - distributed/chose new practice test examples. Did in class. Checked using answer keys in classroom.  Check carefully as we have found some errors on those sheets.
  • les devoirs: Study- le passé composé, l'imparfait, le plus-que-parfait. Re-test will be on Fri.Oct.19.

le but d'apprentissage: Nous apprenons comment faire des entretiens (interviews).
  • Ma lettre de présentation - Due Fri. Oct 19. Must be typed.
  • Mes intelligences multiples - reflexion from Fri Oct 12 - due. Hand in today (Thurs.Oct.18) or zero.
  • L'entretien (the interview)
    • Watched interview in film "The Pursuit of Happyness".  Yay Will Smith!
    • Work period. Use handout information package and notes from DVD "10 things not to do in an interview" to work on own interview presentations with partner or, if necessary, a group of 3. Will be presenting 2 interviews - one good, one bad. Change roles with partner. 5 min. long for the 2 interviews (up to 7 min if group of 3). May be live or video. Presentations start Fri.Oct19 and go to Wed. Oct 24.
  • les devoirs: Work on interview, cover letter or multiple intelligence reflection.
