  • le passé composé 
    • was due Thurs Sept 18 - Handed in application assignment - 8 sentences. La bonne copie due - double-spaced, title, full name, date.  Hand in brouillon also.
      • for level 4 - need - 8 different verbs, regular and irregular, avoir and etre, le négatif (i.e. Je n'ai pas couru...), l'interrogatif (l'inversion i.e. Avez-vous couru...?), different subjects, interesting sentences with details.
    • quiz - le mardi 23 septembre
  • Watched Let it Go: Frozen - Google translate
  • Introduction to the play "Cyrano de Bergerac".
  • les devoirs:  Should be spending about 20 min a day on review/finishing work.
    • quiz - le passé composé - Tues Sept 23
    • 8 phrases au passé -  if not already handed in.
    • journal/blog entry for this week - suggested topics: la journee pedagogique
    • Students are always encouraged to watch a favourite DVD in French (no subtitles), play some French games on internet, do Duolingo , watch French TV, read a blog entry & write a positive comment from your class blog network, read some French articles, magazines, books or newspapers (hard copy or on-line), practice numbers or review some French.

  • les verbes au présent   
    • quick game to review
    • Handout package to practice, including a pre-test. Complete at your own pace. Use Bescherelle.com and your complete and correct reference page to help you.  Have a partner check each page using the answer keys posted in the classroom and at les verbes au present - les reponses  Do your own corrections to practice and learn these verbs.  Completed package (done, checked, corrected) is due Wed. Sept. 24. Try to use logic and look for patterns to learn the verb forms  Don't just copy the answers.  Students should have completed at least 7 of the 10 pages to be on track.
    • There will be a test this week - Thurs. Sept. 25
  • les devoirs:  Should be spending about 20 min a day on review/finishing work.
      • Should have completed at least 7 pages of the practice handout for les verbes au present. All 10 pages are due Wed. Sept. 24.

            • was due Thurs Sept 18 - Handed in application assignment - 8 sentences. La bonne copie due - double-spaced, title, full name, date.  Hand in brouillon also.

          • Read a choice of 3 articles - in small groups - Le calendrier revolutionnaire or Le jazz en France, or Le 100 kilometres par heure.  Noted use of le passe compose and did questions orally.
