FIF 2D
le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment mieux lire.
  • checked puzzles for tickets and un tirage
  • Did learning skills/work habits self-evaluation.  Talked about how to become a better student: Qu'est-ce qu'on commence, s'arrete et continue a faire?
  • DELF B1 ecoute - pg.11 ex. 1 & 2
  • Cyrano de Bergerac: Acte I, scene 4 - read together in groups. Re-read at home for better understanding.  
    • gave a summary of plot and major characters to help with understanding the play
  • les devoirs:  Should be spending about 20 min a day on review/finishing work.
    • re-read Cyrano de Bergerac Acte 1, scene 4.
    • journal/blog entry for this week - suggested topics: septembre, l'automne ou le football
    • Students are always encouraged to watch a favourite DVD in French (no subtitles), play some French games on internet, do Duolingo , watch French TV, read a blog entry & write a positive comment from your class blog network, read some French articles, magazines, books or newspapers (hard copy or on-line), practice numbers or review some French.

  • returned tests "les verbes au present".  Students have the option of correcting mistakes on their test and handing the test in to the teacher tomorrow to gain up to 45/60 on the test.
  • checked puzzles for tickets and un tirage
  • Notre Dame de Paris
    • read article "Victor Hugo", answered questions and short discussion
    • read chapter 1 "le Pape des Fous" (handout) and listened to dramatic recording
    • Re-read ch. 1 and answer the questions in exercise 1.
  • les devoirs:  Should be spending about 20 min a day on review/finishing work.
    • Notre Dame de Paris - ch. 1 - re-read and answer exercise 1

    • Did learning skills/work habits self-evaluation.  Talked briefly about how to become a better student: Qu'est-ce qu'on commence, s'arrete et continue a faire?
    • returned quiz le passe compose - students have the option of doing corrections and submitting the test tomorrow to increase their mark (max. 23/30).
    • Finished reading choice of 3 different articles from Nouvelles Frontières 10e: Les Parfums pg.65, Le soin des animaux sauvages pg. 69, or L'histoire des calendriers pg.76 - in groups and did As-tu compris questions orally (with brief notes).  Groups who were done started working on a resume of their article.
