le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment mieux lire.
  • Speaking activity - partners and descriptions of short videos video 1 & video 2
  • Cyrano de Bergerac: Acte I, scene 4 - read "le Tirade du nez"
  • returned quiz le passé composé - students have the option of doing corrections and submitting the test tomorrow to increase their mark (max. 23/30).
  • les devoirs:  Should be spending about 20 min a day on review/finishing work.
    • re-read Cyrano de Bergerac Acte 1, scenes 1- 4 and complete questions for Fri Oct 3
    • le passé composé - test corrections
    • journal/blog entry for this week - suggested topics: septembre, l'automne ou le football
    • Students are always encouraged to watch a favourite DVD in French (no subtitles), play some French games on internet, do Duolingo , watch French TV, read a blog entry & write a positive comment from your class blog network, read some French articles, magazines, books or newspapers (hard copy or on-line), practice numbers or review some French.

le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous apprenons comment mieux lire.
  • handed in corrected tests "les verbes au present".  Students had the option of correcting mistakes on their test and handing the test in to the teacher tomorrow to gain up to 45/60 on the test.  Only 6 students chose to do this.
  • Did learning skills/work habits self-evaluation.  Talked about how to become a better student: Qu'est-ce que vous commencez, vous arrêtez et continuez à faire?  Wrote a short plan and handed it in.
  • Notre Dame de Paris
    • Discussed importance of re-reading chapter 1.
    • Posted the winning drawings of Quasimodo from the description in the book.  See below for photos.
    • Corrected ch. 1 questions exercise 1.
    • écoute - pg.14 ex. 4 - did and corrected. Short discussion.
    • read article "Paris, hier et aujourd'hui", answered questions and submitted.
    • Re-read chapter 1 "le Pape des Fous" and answer questions ex. 2 & 3

    • Groups prepared resume of  choice of 3 different articles from Nouvelles Frontières 10e: Les Parfums pg.65, Le soin des animaux sauvages pg. 69, or L'histoire des calendriers pg.76.  Maximum 10 sentences.  Can finish tomorrow.
