    • presentation assignment - time to work  in groups- see handout for details.  Today's emphasis - reading your scenes out loud, paying attention to enunciation and fluidity.  Keep track of work done using work log sheets.  Presentations - Acte II scenes 1-6 on Thurs. Oct 23 and continue next week.  
  • les devoirs:
    • Cyrano - prepare for presentations.  A good idea - read Acte II scenes 1-6 tonight so that the presentation will help with understanding.
    • Optional: listen to Stromae again. Watch interview noting Stromae's excellent use of English as a second language.
    • journal/blog entry for this week - suggested topics: mon livre/mon film/mon emission de television favori - Ecris de pourquoi c'est ton favori et de l'influence de la vie ou Diwali - une fete des lumieres indienne ou - votre choix.  Students should have at least 6 entries completed by the end of this week to be on track.

          • Listening activity: ch.5 ex. 4.ch.5 and 6 - Read together with CD, discussed briefly. 
          • checked and corrected ch.5 activities 1, 2 & 3 and ch. 6 activities 1 - 2.  We will finish correcting ch. 6 tomorrow, including group discussions for ex. 5.
        • Talked about student responsibilities.
