le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous lisons et parlons des articles.
learning goal: We are learning about narration through fairy tales.
  • Note: classes have been adjusted. As of Fri Feb 19, ENG2D will be in room 107 with Ms.Tofano. 
  • video and article: The origins of English
  • class discussion: essay on handout Red Riding Hood "Text and Context". 
  • Homework: Get in the habit of doing 20 - 30 minutes of English homework every night Monday to Thursday. Review lessons, extend your knowledge or read.
    • reflection on narration from Feb 10 if not already done. See blog post Feb 10 for details.
    • Watch Maleficent or other film adaptations of Fairy Tales.
    • Watch Toy Story or another childhood favourite film, preferably with your parent/guardian, and consider how your outlook has changed.
    • Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.

      • Je me présenteassignment sheet & rubric Make sure you have shared it with Ms.K-J from your school Google Drive. Follow instructions on assignment sheet. 
      • les lettres: checked progress on draft of own letter for La Grande Course du Canada - due tomorrow. Started writing good copy if already checked. Good copy will be due Wed Feb 24.
      • les devoirs: Should be spending 15 - 20 minutes daily on French home study Monday through Thursday. If all class work is completed, follow suggestions in: Home Study extras
        • Finish rough draft of letter for Fri. Feb. 19.
