Site of the day: How to learn a new language - 7 tips from TED translators
Concours Oratoire - French Public Speaking contest. March 23 at the HWDSB board office. See Ms.K-J for details. Meeting Thurs. Feb. 25 at lunch in room 316.

  • 2 students presented the summary of their article from a French magazine. Questions and short discussion. Les nouvelles/les articles
  • Les goûts de notre classe Short composition - due today. Include le brouillon. May be submitted on Google Drive - be sure to name document using your full name and FSF2D as part of the title. 
  • DVD French Immersion
  • Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine as long as all caught up. Students may wish to do some review or practice - see: Home Study extras osuggestions below.
    • 3 students - Article for next Thur. - read, summarize.

ENG 1D
learning goal: We are learning about short stories.
  • Note: classes have been adjusted. As of Fri Feb 19, ENG2D are in room 107 with Ms.Tofano and ENG1D is in room 316 with Ms.K-J. 
  • Examining writing style/language analysis - The Tell-Tale Heart - due today,Thurs. Feb. 25. Can be submitted through Google Drive - make sure title includes name of assignment, your full name and FSF1D. Share with me: bkukhtaj@hwdsb.on.ca 
  • test today - elements of short stories 
  • No homework if all caught up for the work this week. Some suggestions if you wish to do some work:
    • Writing style/language analysis for The Tell-Tale Heart good copy due today. 
    • Independent reading. Bring a book to read quietly in class for any time that you finish your class work early. Read regularly at home.
FSF 1D  
le but d'apprentissage (learning goal): Nous écrivons des lettres.
    • les lettres:  La Grande Course du Canada. Good copy (handwritten on unlined paper) due today. Addressed envelopes.
    • DVD: Shrek
    • Pas de devoirs pour la fin de semaine as long as all caught up. Students may wish to do some review or practice - see: Home Study extras osuggestions below.
      • Good copy of letter if not already done.
      • Finish note: les verbes réguliers au présent and complete that part of verb chart
