Journal/blog assignment was due Fri. May 18. See handout from February for details. Must still hand in, but must include note for late assignment (see blog post).
  • le but d'apprentissage: Comment parler des opinions, des sentiments et des doutes.
  • Did some listening activities from Préparation pour le DELF niveau B1.
  • Upcoming work/assessments:
    • le subjonctif - test sommative - le mercredi 6 juin OU le jeudi 7 juin - Choice of the student for what works better for them.  Must prepare and may use summary note (preferably done as a mind-map) as a reference sheet for the test.  Complete and check handout pre-tests to help prepare.
    • La Route de Chlifa/Incendies - written report/reaction.  Bonne copie + all parts due tomorrow
    • la présentation orale - culminating. Discussed.  Will be formalizing success criteria on Mon June 4 in class.  Will be presented week of June 11-15. Topic - your choice. Format - your choice (i.e. discours formel, PowerPoint, Prezzi, video, etc.). Length - 2 min. May do with a partner - 3 1/2 - 4 min. Objective - show what learned this year. Also will submit written outline.
  • les devoirs:  20 - 30 min of French
  • le but d'apprentissage: Comment éviter la répétition.
  • Watched: Ma France Football video C and did 2 activities Football C: Jeu de rôle  Football C email completion
  • Speaking activity - Matching pictures.
  • Reviewed progress with les pronoms (les fiches).  We will continue work - try to finish sheets as best possible for tomorrow.  We will take them up on Friday.
  • Reading from book “Anthologies”. On own or with small group, choose one article
    • “Colosses en Péril” pgs. 30 -31 and the “As-tu compris?” questions pg. 79
    • OR
    • “La Montagne meurtière” pgs. 40 – 42 and “As-tu compris?” questions pg. 81.
    • Read the article together in group, then answered the “As-tu compris?” questions by discussion and with each member of the group taking their own brief notes.  Handed in notes.
    • NOTE: Many students didn't finish this in class yesterday, so we finished it today.
  • les devoirs:  20 - 30 min French - les pronoms
  • le but d'apprentissage: Comment lire et écouter la poésie.
  • Le Café des Poèmes.  Lots of fun!
  • les devoirs:  20 - 30 minutes of French.  Test - les pronoms - tomorrow.  Make sure you prepare a reference sheet that you can use for the test.  1 sheet/ 1 side only letter sized paper, but try to get everthing you need on 1/2 sheet.
